Butch Guice

I take special pride in presenting this feature on Butch Guice because I feel like I discovered him. He showed me his portfolio at a convention in the early 80's before he had broken into comics, and I was so impressed I asked him to help me pencil an Iron Man job I was running behind on. I then showed his pages to the editor, Al Milgrom, and the next thing you know he was penciling Micronauts! He's gone on to become one of the best artists in comics, just as I knew he would. Way to go, Butch!

Bob McLeod: Butch drew breakdowns for X-Factor #6,
and I furnished the ink finishes.

I couldn't look at the X-Men without thinking of Neal Adams and
Tom Palmer, so I tried to give it that flavor.
